Schedule a Visit
ECS is an exciting community nestled on Syracuse University's beautiful campus. To get a really great feel for the College and for the campus, we encourage you and your family to visit. You'll be able to see for yourselves all of the great things that we have to offer to our students.
Weekday visits are available year-round. For those families interested in visiting on Saturdays, we typically offer one weekend program in October, and another in April. For more information about these special Saturday opportunities, please contact Kathleen Joyce via e-mail (telephone 315-443-2219).
You and your family are welcome to visit us anytime. Campus visits typically include:
A University overview and information session
Hosted by the Admissions Office
Offers visitors an opportunity to learn more about SU with information that covers the application process, financial aid, housing, international study opportunities, and more.
A campus tour
Hosted by the Admissions Office
Led by an undergraduate student guide, the campus tour allows visitors an opportunity to walk across SU's historic campus and experience first-hand SU's vibrant student life (Be sure to check out the Hall of Languages on your tour! Campus legend has it that HL was used as a model for the haunted house that was home to the Addams Family!)
An individual meeting with a representative from ECS
An opportunity for prospective students and their parents to find out more about programs in engineering and computer science. This is a great opportunity to have your questions answered and to get a look at some of our labs and teaching facilities.
In order to help you plan the best possible visit, we suggest that you call ahead to reserve dates and times at least two weeks in advance. The easiest way to set up your visit is to contact Admissions via e-mai first (telephone 315-443-3611). The Admissions Office conducts weekday programs daily throughout the year:

Once you've made an appointment with the Admissions Office, we encourage you to contact us to set up your visit to ECS. To arrange a visit to our College, please contact Kathleen Joyce via e-mail (telephone 315-443-2219). ECS meetings are typically scheduled around the Admissions portion of your visit.
Please note that Saturday/Sunday visits to ECS are generally not available. However, the Admissions Office does host information programs and campus tours on selected Saturdays during the year. Again, we strongly encourage you to call in advance to reserve your space in these programs.
Admissions Interview
Syracuse University does not require an interview for admission. However, we do encourage you to take advantage of the opportunity to meet one-on-one with a member of the Admissions Committee to discuss your application in more detail. On-campus interviews are conducted weekdays during the fall semester in the Admissions Office. Members of the Admissions staff also conduct interviews on the road in various metropolitan areas across the United States during the fall semester. For more information about interviews, please contact Admissions via e-mai (telephone: 315-443-3611).
Attending a Class
By making arrangements in advance, prospective students are welcome to attend class with one of our current students. If you are interested in this activity, please contact Kathleen Joyce via e-mail (telephone: 315-443-2219) at least two weeks prior to your visit. She'll arrange to have one of our current students serve as your host for the day. We'll even treat you to lunch at one of campus dining centers!
It is important to remember that the availability of class visits is dependent on the academic calendar. While we will always do our best to accommodate your requests, we do not schedule class visits during midterms, final exams, or at other critical points during the semester.
Overnight Visits
ECS generally does not make arrangements for overnight visits by prospective students. However, during certain times of the spring semester, the Admissions Office does offer admitted students the opportunity to stay overnight in a residence hall with a current Syracuse University student. For more information on this program, please contact Admissions via e-mail (telephone: 315-443-3611).
