Assistantships and Financial Aid
ECS awards several different forms of financial support to graduate students. While not all students receive financial support, many do. To apply for financial support, students must indicate their interest on the graduate application form. All of the following are awarded based on students' academic merit—U.S. citizens and international students compete for these awards on equal footing.
Scholarships
This form of support is applied to a student's tuition charges. ECS has several scholarship programs for master's students, most of which provide support to cover a portion of students' total tuition.
Assistantships
These awards usually are reserved for doctoral students. Graduate assistants do some kind of work for their academic department—usually teaching or research—and receive a stipend in return. It is common for graduate assistants to receive a tuition scholarship as well.
