We are a professional anti-hazing organization that is recognized by the L.C. Smith College of Engineering and Computer Science, here at Syracuse University.
The pledging process can last anywhere from 6 to 8 weeks. Pledging follows after the rush process is complete and generally begins about three weeks into the semester.
Throughout the pledge process you will be asked to perform many duties and activities with your pledge brothers, as well as the brothers of the house.
By the end of the pledge tenure you will have gained extensive knowledge of the Fraternity on a national as well as local scale.
Academics
Included in a pledge's regularly assigned tasks are a handful of tasks geared towards preparing a pledge to be a professional grade engineer.
Resume building, career advice, and scheduled study sessions are integrated into the pledging schedule.
We plan to coordinate a TON of fun stuff to do this semester.
Hear Ye!
Each task has a PURPOSE, and helps to better your understanding of the Fraternity and its function in your life.
Your pledging is guaranteed to be a memorable experience meeting new people, gaining new skills, and plain old having the time of your life,
'cause that is what college is all about.
We hold a strong emphasis on school work as this is a professional organization.
As with many fraternities, prior to initiation, the pledge must have a suitable GPA, in accordance with National Theta Tau rules.
The nice thing about it is that the older brothers in the house have all taken the same classes, so brothers double as spectacular mentors as well as strong friends.
Playing paintball is on the agenda as is a potential roadtrip to another chapter of Theta Tau, among many other activities.
If you're interested in pledging at all,
head over to the rush section of the site and stop by at some of the events!
