The Syracuse
University Chapter of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) is a
student organization that cherishes and promotes technical competence, team
spirits, professional responsibilities, leadership skills and other qualities
that are required of every civil and environmental engineer.

Build-A-Thon
(held on November 4 at Onondaga Community
College)

Guided by college students, middle school students were engaging in the
mystery competition.

Some of the bridges were on display and waiting to be tested in the
competition.

ASCE Syracuse Section President Mitch Carmody
(left) and Immediate Past President Craig Butler (right) were at the podium
speaking to the students at the conclusion of the event.

SU student Gerard Baxter was giving the participating students a prep talk
about engineering.

The SU ASCE Chapter President Jason Snyder (right) received a Letter of
Honorable Mention on behalf of the student chapter from ASCE Section
President Mitch Carmody.
