ASCE Syracuse Section/ASCE SU Student Chapter Joint Dinner Meeting

This annual joint dinner meeting has been scheduled on January 24, 2011 (Monday) at Phoebe’s Restaurant.  All members are welcome to attend.  This is a good opportunity for you to network and meet with local engineers.  RSVP to  First six students who respond can attend this dinner meeting for free!


ASCE T-Shirt Design Contest

Use your imagination and creativity – ASCE T-Shirt design proposals are due by Oct. 1st. The best design will be chosen by the E-Board and the designer gets a T-shirt for free.  T-shirt design templates can be picked up from one of the wall shelves in Link 151 right next to the reception area.



EWB is having an Adopt-a-Street event on Oct. 3rd.  If you are interested in participating in this community event, e-mail Marieke at and let her know that you would like to help.

Presentation by the Dubai Contracting Company Syracuse University Internship Program 2010 Interns (Oct. 12th, 2010 at 6:30pm in Link 152)

Come learn about the in’s and out’s of the specifically designed program for Civil Engineering students after they have completed their third year of study at Syracuse University.  The applications will be due in a month of so after this presentation, so come and listen to last year’s interns and hear what they have to say about the program.


Build ‘Em and Bust ‘Em (Nov. 20th, 2010 at the MOST in Armory Square)

If you are at all interested in seeing the look on a youngster’s face when you crush his or her hand-made bridge or crane, then this is the event for you!  Come and participate in one of Syracuse’s most exciting middle and high school events where one sees how much load each bridge or crane can take and gives out awards to the winners.  All are welcome to volunteer.
