Zeta Chapter History

Sigma Lambda Epsilon was created on Wednesday, October 18, 1995 by twenty-one ladies from fourteen states and three countries to serve the women of engineeering at Syracuse University.

On March 30, 1996, the ladies of Sigma Lambda Epsilon joined Alpha Omega Epsilon, becoming Zeta Colony.  The eighteen remaining sisters worked diligently toward the goal of becoming Zeta Chapter.

On April 26, 1997, after many months of hard work, twenty-four sisters were initiated into Alpha Omega Epsilon to become Zeta Chapter.  Zeta Chapter is dedicated to the well being and success of our members.  We pledge to learn from, teach, and love one another to better ourselves and those around us.  By accomplishing these mighty tasks, we hope to prepare our members for the world ahead of them and to give them an edge above the competition.
