Design Build Fly is a
student competition sponsored by AIAA, Cessna, and the Office of Naval
Research. Student teams will design, fabricate, and demonstrate the flight
capabilities of an unmanned, electric powered, radio controlled aircraft to
accomplish a certain mission. The location of the contest rotates between
Kansas and Maryland. This year it’s in Maryland. One third of the team members
must be freshmen, sophomores, or juniors.

1/25/04 - -Friday
3:30-5:30? 0006 Link; Manufacturing Carbon Fiber wing spars, No previous experience
needed; anyone is welcome to come.
Sat 11:00 AM- 4:00 PM Making of full size wing. No previous experience needed;
anyone is welcome to come.
Just so all of you know Aero team and Structures teams have
joined in this last section of the project so aeros can help out with
structures stuff since that’s all that’s left other than propulsions.
1/23/05 – Welcome to a
new semester! This is the final push to get the Orange
Knight up and flying. We will need everyone
and anyone that is willing to help. Click here for

11/17/04 - Okay so
Saturday we will go flying we'll meet at college place at 11:30 and leave
at 11:50. There is a 30% chance of rain in random areas with a high of 44
degrees. WE NEED RIDES IF YOU CAN COAKS A FRIEND INTO GOING PLEASE DO AND LET
ME KNOW!! YOU AND THE DRIVER WILL BE REWARDED WITH ALOT OF FLYING TIME!

Major updates on webpage. Changed the format to make it more user-friendly.
11/01/04 – There
will be a meeting this Thursday November 4, 2004 at 7:30pm in Link 142. It will
be mainly about wing placement figures of merit. Everyone is welcome but it is
not mandatory. However, TEAM LEADERS must attend and be prepared
for the discussion.

information, along with the name, to the contest administrator and officially
enter our plane into the competition.
