The Academic Excellence Workshop is the signature program of PRIDE (Programs Rooted in Developing Excellence). It is geared toward achieving success in the area of mathematics, statics and dynamics.

Workshops are held during the academic year, and are graded as a one credit course. Participants not only leave with superb understanding of the material, but with organizational, interpersonal, and leadership skills to the future.

This Workshop is an excellent opportunity to meet your peers as well as polish your coursework for your academic career.

  • A small group workshop, ideally comprising 6-8 students
  • Focused On MASTERY of course material, rather than MEMORY
  • Available to Engineering and Computer Science (ECS) students
  • Based on active participation by all students
  • Led by an undergraduate facilitator
  • A collaborative effort with the Mathematics Department and the College of Engineering and Computer Science
  • Designed to improve students' problem-solving, interpersonal, and teamwork skills
