Service Activities

I routinely participate in professional and University service activities. I am a member of several professional societies. I have provided expert testimony to the Senate Commerce Committee and the House Science Committee and New York State legislative committees. I have served on many local, national and international committees. I was a member of the National Research Council Panel on Process of Lake Acidification and the Committee of Air Quality Management. I am currently a member of the board of directors of the Hubbard Brook Research Foundation and the Upstate Freshwater Institute. I direct the Science-Links program for the Hubbard Brook Research Foundation. The Science-Links program is an effort to synthesize information about research and environmental issues in the Northeast and make this analysis available to interest groups.
